Participants will engage in authentic expedition experiences that include camping, cooking, camp craft, and set up, allowing them to develop valuable outdoor skills and learn essential techniques for surviving and thriving in the wilderness. Map reading and navigation skills are emphasized, providing participants with the tools they need to navigate and explore the natural environment with confidence and precision.
Our programs offer participants the opportunity to work towards the Bronze Distance Award, Silver Distance Award, and Gold Distance Award, challenging them to push their limits and achieve their personal best. Participants will learn Leave No Trace principles, promoting environmental stewardship and responsible outdoor practices that minimize impact on the natural world.
The Gaisce Awards expeditions serve as a unique outdoors classroom, where participants can learn, grow, and develop important life skills in a hands-on and immersive setting.
